At least you haven’t had one jump into the shower with you! They would sometimes come up the drain while I was taking a shower when I lived in Nigeria. It was terrifying! Oh, and don’t forget the one that was INSIDE the mosquito net with me when i woke up one morning. I shudder to think where it was when I was sleeping. I definitely took down the net. The risk of malaria was worth it to sleep roach free!

Good job converting that dipper into something useful. Personally I would make it a project to turn your place into a cockroach free zone. I don’t know what sort of place you got, that might require major renovations and/or unhealthy amounts of pesticide. But it would be cool.
