Oh Carola, I loved the inner dialogue you gave my last minute sprinter. haha! That made me laugh out loud. I’m glad I could give him something to be proud of.

Yes, 3:45am was early. I tried to sleep at 9pm…unsuccessfully. I did however get a nap later on Sunday.

It took me 34 minutes but I’m not sure about the last person. Some just wanted to walk along with their friends and had not a care in the world so I KNOW I beat those people!

YEAH! Go you good thing! I’m so excited that you did it! Running, jogging, shuffling, hopping, walking, dawdling, sliding or being a worm, whichever way you chose, you did it! I love the part about the guy who sprinted past you at the end. You know, you were probably the person that during the whole race he was thinking “Out of EVERYTHING, I have to beat that white chick”. You got that bloke through, man! Good on you! And cool for the free stuff. But seriously? 3:45am. You are disgusting. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep. Still… awesome work!

PS – How long did you take? And do you know how long it took the last person to cross the line?

Good job Rach. I was talked into running a 5K for a good cause and I hate running as much as you. Which is why we never ran together But, I am proud of your effort and laughed a lot reading this post.
