Bon Voyage! January 9, 2009
Well this is it. I’ve waited for this moment for a long time and now it’s here. I sent an email to someone and said “…before I leave on Monday”. Not next month, year, or week but a specific day. That was weird. God is so good! While eating dinner with my friend Lisa a few days ago I started to get really overwhelmed while we talked about the journey I’ve been on in the past few years. God proved so faithful through it all…not that there should be any doubt. But, wow, it is so clear that He is in control and I am so glad He’s running my life. I’d do a really pathetic job of it if it was up to me.
My friend, Emily flies in today. I haven’t seen her in about a year and a half and she’s coming in to bid me adieu. And no, I still haven’t packed. It’s Friday…I leave Monday. I’ve always been a procrastinator; no need to stop now. So this is it. If I don’t see you before I leave…I love you and give you a blog-style hug right now. Please feel free to write and most definitely, pray! See you in a few years

I love you and am so proud of you. I know the journey to get to this point has been long and tiresome but it has definitely paid off and now you are living what you have been dreaming of. I will be praying for you and can’t wait to hear the stories and testimony of God’s greatness through your life.
