It’s a flood! October 1, 2008

Maybe not in the usual pouring rain, cars floating by, natural disaster kind of way….but there has still been a flood recently.  A flood of emotions, support, and enlightenment.  It’s amazing no matter how long you know the Lord, He constantly teaches you new things about Himself.  Many times over these past three years, I’ve told myself, “It doesn’t matter when you want to go overseas, it’s about God’s timing.”  It’s so true, but it was still hard to accept at times.  I have truly been amazed at how quickly God has brought in support over these past few months.  I am now at 100%!  When it’s God’s timing, He can work some really fast miracles.  I am going to be leaving in January and starting on this amazing journey God has for me.  This past Friday night, my parents suprised me by telling me they were going to cover the rest of my monthly support.  Wow!  Here started the flood of emotions I eluded to above.  It’s really happening.  My parents are amazing.  I’m going overseas.  For two years.  My head was spinning with joy.  God is so good!  I’ll actually have reasons to update my blog now.  That means I need to remind people it even exists.  I’m sure everyone gave up on checking for updates a long time ago.  So I guess I’m just talking to myself right now.  Which wouldn’t be the first time.

Anyway, in case anyone IS reading….I thank you for your prayers and ask you to continue praying.  Excited doesn’t really do justice to the emotions I’m feeling right now.  Stay tuned…more thrilling things to come.
